Submission Guidelines for Authors

We invite you to collaborate with us by submitting your scholarly articles to our publications. We've included below the essential guidelines and deadlines to ensure your submission meets our editorial standards.

General Information

• Publications: Articles are published in cooperation with the University of Łódź Press, ensuring high editorial standards and broad readership.

• English Articles: Published in the biannual journal, Faces of War, launched in 2024.

• Polish Articles: Published in the series Oblicza Wojny, in print since 2020.

• Additional Publications: Articles in Polish are also considered for Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Historica since 2017.

Submission Deadlines

• Polish Articles: The deadline for submission is 15 October 2026.

• English Articles: Accepted on a rolling basis.

Submission Requirements

• Originality: Only original scholarly articles that have not been previously published or submitted elsewhere will be accepted.

• Language: Articles may be submitted in either Polish or English.

• Length: Articles should range from 20,000 to 45,000 characters (including spaces), encompassing footnotes, bibliography, abstracts (in both Polish and English), and 4–5 keywords.

• Peer Review: Only articles that receive positive peer reviews will be considered for publication.

• Editorial Guidelines: Submissions must adhere to our editorial guidelines, which are available for download below.
